Our office offers oral sedation and nitrous oxide for our patients who would feel more comfortable receiving their dental treatment while sedated. This way, you can be completely relaxed and stress-free while undergoing treatment. Certain sedation procedures may require a designated driver, so please plan accordingly if you are receiving sedation at your appointment.
What is Sedation Dentistry or Sleep Dentistry?
The patient is given oral medication about one hour before your appointment while at our office under the supervision of the doctor. The medicine puts you in a light state of sedation and you are extremely relaxed or asleep during your dental appointment. It is safe, non-invasive, and easy to administer.
You will need someone to drive you to and from your appointment. Once you arrive, you are allowed to rest comfortably in a warm, quiet room under a blanket. During the entire time you are here, we will closely monitor you to ensure your safety.
Complex dental treatments that often require multiple appointments can be done in as little as one with complete comfort to you!
